Charity (The NOSHA Foundation)

Recognizing that we are empowered to empower others is a moral obligation and it’s never too early to give back to the society. Our legacy is not only through the work we do every day but also through immediate impact on trainings, leadership development and support to the Safety profession as a whole.

Contributions from our partners and sponsors will facilitate scholarships (especially to Internally Displaced persons -IDPs) and build an overall leadership development through groundbreaking job-oriented training on Occupational Safety & Health.

The global health crises that the work community currently faces has created unprecedented organizational uncertainty in the current scenario. It is more important than ever to create adaptive capacity to ensure essential organizations can continue to deliver services.

As a social partner, our role is also to protect workers, their families and the society at large through return to workplace programs within and after the covid-19 pandemic.

FREE OF CHARGE JOB HAZARD ASSESSMENT FOR ARTISANAL COMPANIES

The NOSHA Foundation team periodically meets with employees of young artisanal companies to conduct Job Safety Assessments of the work they perform. Through these assessments, NOSHA can help identify training requirements for the employees and determine if the requirements are being met. NOSHA will review general facility safety issues during these assessments.

Facility Reviews are routinely conducted and Supervisors are expected to ensure workspaces are properly maintained and hazards appropriately identified and mitigated. The NOSHA Foundation provides free training assistance after the identification of hazards and hazard risk.

FREE HSE TRAINING AND CERTIFICATION FOR IDPS AND REFUGEES

The number of IDPs in Cameroon has steadily increased over the past 5 years as a result of political crises.

IDPs are among the most vulnerable people in Cameroon and beyond, and the protection of their rights and assistance is a key human rights instrument.

Providing employable skills to these people, enabling them to work and earn, is one way to combat the evil. However, it is not everybody who is suitable for the training because we only recruit and train those with at least a High School qualification.

MORE WOMEN IN SAFETY

Over the years, Occupational environment and health jobs were considered in this part of the world as a man’s thing and in NOSHA we offer free training to ladies in the following categories:

  • Unemployed Single mothers with at least a high school diploma.
  • Ladies with previous bad experiences from the Middle East
  • Female Internally Displaced persons from the Warring regions of Cameroon.
